Molasses Glazed Ribs

My husband and I love ribs.  We love them but we hate to go out to eat and pay $30+ just for us to have ribs.  My husband loves sticky ribs better than others.  So I decided to make Molasses Glazed Ribs instead of just plain bbq sauce ones.  So here is my recipe you must try if you like sticky ribs too. Plus these go great with this creamed corn recipe.

Grab a slab of baby back ribs
1 tsp of Fresh garlic
1 tsp of onion powder
1/4 tsp of cayenne powder
2 tsp of apple cider vinegar
splashes of salt and pepper

For the top of the ribs
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup of ketchup
1/4 cup of honey

How to make 

The first thing I did was wash my ribs.  Once that was done I did the best I could to take the membrane off the back of my ribs.  I noticed when removed they come out tender.  Once I feel I can’t remove any more.  I added my spices on the ribs. Which is the 1 tsp of Fresh garlic, 1 tsp of onion powder, 1/4 tsp of cayenne powder, and splashes of salt and pepper.  Now I placed my trivet down in my pressure cooker and added 1 cup of water plus the 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar.  Next, I gently placed my ribs in the pressure cooking by folding towards the bend the whole time.  Now you will close the lid and turn in to manual mode for 22 minutes.  Once the timer goes off you will turn your pressure cooker off and let release pressure naturally for 10 minutes.  While you wait for the pressure to removed. Your oven should be heating up on broil mode and you need to mix up your 1/4 cup molasses, 1/4 cup of ketchup, and 1/4 cup of honey.  So now it is time to remove your ribs from the pressure cooker, SLOWLY removed and place on your baking sheet.  Once on the baking sheet use a brush or slowly pour your rub into your ribs.  Once the ribs are covered you will place in the oven for 10-15 minutes.  Once you take them out of the oven you can cut them apart and enjoy.  

 

You can do the same recipe in a crock pot.  The cook time for the ribs is 6-8 hours on low.  Then you will follow the directions for the oven like I stated above.  They will be just as amazing but take a lot longer to make.
