When I make the Pulled Pork it is always after a LONG day. One that dragged on for day so when I get home I can throw my dish together and simply sit while it cooks and relax for more than 10 minutes. I always HAVE left over with this meal. Most of the time I will get the leftovers and place them in a freezer bag and save for another dinner. The best thing about this is you can pick your own kind of barbecue sauce you like. Also you could make at least a 8-10 lb pork roast in your Instant Pot which should feed 16-20 people easily.
So I bought a 6lb roast but only used 3lbs and it feed 5 people one sandwich each you could easily feed 6 people. Also the pork shoulder was only a $1.00 per pd so not bad $2.50 for 6 people to have meat.
What you need
Pork Shoulder Roast
1 cup of Chicken Broth
1/2 onion sliced up
1 clove of garlic
1 cup of bbq sauce
salt and pepper
splash of liquid smoke if you want
How to Make the Pulled Pork
If you have a slow cooker you can d the same thing but you need to cook 6-8 hours
First add the chicken broth
then cut the shoulder into 3-4 inch pieces
Next you willsalt and pepper up your pork
Place in your instant pot
then add the garlic on top with some onion and your cup of BBQ sauce.
Turn on your Instant Pot for at 60 minutes and then wait for it to be done
Once done you will pull out and the meat should shred if it doesn’t place in for another 15 minutes.
After you shred add another cup of BBQ sauce on it plus 1/2 cup of the liquid from the bottom on your Instant Pot.
NOW SERVE AND EAT ON A BUN
